What We Believe

Our Core Values: What is most important as we think about life in the city?

Kingdom Minded
New City is part of Christ’s Kingdom, not the whole of it. We gladly partner with other gospel-centered churches for the spiritual good of our city, believing that a flourishing city requires a united Church.

Christ Centered
We exist to make much of Jesus. Everything we teach, pursue, and practice flows from Him and leads back to Him. He is the center of our worship, our theology, and our life together.

Grace Motivated
We are changed by grace, not driven by guilt. The free mercy of God in Christ is the only power strong enough to transform our hearts and shape a new way of life.

Courageously Hospitable
Our doors and our lives are open. We welcome doubters, seekers, the wounded, and those still wrestling with what they believe. There is a seat for you here.

United in Essentials
We hold fast to the historic truths of the Christian faith, summarized in the Apostle’s Creed and confessed by the global Church. In these essentials, we stand together for the purity and clarity of the gospel.

Winsome in Non-Essentials
Where faithful Christians differ on secondary matters, we choose humility and charity. We refuse to divide over issues that do not define the heart of the gospel.

Parish Driven
God has placed us in a specific place for a reason. We are committed to loving our literal neighbors and seeking the good of our city, praying that our community is stronger because we are here.

What is Sunday Worship?

It’s like an aircraft carrier...a place to land, be refueled for the purpose of being winsomely sent back out into the world.  When a local congregation embraces this, Sundays become an attractive place for neighbors to explore the claims of Jesus.
