Commission
Commission
Our joyful and active response to the grace of God.
Commission is where we serve together for the good of our church, our neighbors, and our city. Grace received becomes grace extended.
Opportunity
Looking to discover how God might be using your journey of faith in this community? Join us in our opportunities to serve our local community!
Celina Faith and Work Fellowship
On the third Thursday of each month, we host a free lunch for our community. Together, we explore how Sunday worship shapes Monday through Saturday work, seeking to honor Christ in every vocation and calling.
English as a Second Language (ESL)
Each Tuesday and Thursday during the Fall and Spring semesters, we offer free ESL classes for beginners, intermediate learners, and those who want to grow in everyday conversation. We are committed to helping our neighbors flourish through language and connection.
Celina Chamber of Commerce
We actively partner with local organizations such as the Celina Chamber of Commerce for the good of our city. From supporting civic initiatives to serving at events like Oktoberfest, we seek to be present and engaged in the life of our community.
Helping Hands of Celina
We support local ministries that align with our vision and values. Through partnerships like Helping Hands of Celina, we come alongside families in need and participate in tangible expressions of mercy and care.
Worship and Sound Team
If you enjoy singing, playing an instrument, or serving in audio and visual technology, consider joining our team. These ministries help lead our congregation in worship and create an environment where the Word of Christ dwells richly among us.
New City’s Women of Hope:
New City is led by men ordained to the offices of elder and deacon. In joyful partnership with them, the Women of Hope serve as trusted voices of wisdom, prayer, and discernment for the health of our church and the good of our city.
This team does not replace or redefine ordained leadership. Rather, it reflects our conviction that God calls and gifts women by the Holy Spirit to serve under the authority of and alongside the Session and Diaconate to lead, shepherd, and minister within the life of the congregation.
Together, we seek a church strengthened by faithful leadership and enriched by the Spirit’s gifts, for the flourishing of our neighbors and our city.
